Flying Fox

By Heather

Everyone in my group was shouting then it all went silent.

Katie was being clipped onto the flying fox. She was first, the instructor told her to keep running until she couldn't touch the ground. She did as she was told.

When she came back she looked a little woozy, but happy. She said it was awesome, I on the other hand wasn’t so sure.

I looked at the harness I could swear it was laughing at me. I couldn't laugh back. I now know its no longer my friend.

Lots more people went on, coming back and saying it was awesome. I had watched everyone do it. Now I had to do it, be the one, I thought as I pulled the rope up the hill. I glared at the harness. When I had the harness and helmet on I was so nervous. I was shaking in my skin!!!
It was my turn. I ran. I started to fly I looked down at the river.

BIG MISTAKE!!!!!

All of a sudden WHAM!!! I banged into the tree!

Now I was being pulled in my next turn. It wasn't so bad this time because I knew what it would feel like. Again I started run until I was flying again when I came back I said Sandra you go now she shivered but she went and had fun.

The flying fox isn't really as bad as it looks you should try it it’s an experience you will never forget.
