Room 3 have had a very interesting week focusing on careers.
We have had eight visitors who have shared their career with us. They were a varied number of careers including Duty manager of a shopping mall, electronic and electrical engineers, a food technologist, a civil engineer, an animal welfare officer, a senior private secretary to a Minister of the Crown and a software salesman.
Room 3 have had many discussions about the various careers and it has been interesting to discuss the skills that each career requires and how these can be quite similar even though the careers are very different.
One of today's visitors, the civil engineer, engaged the students in a great discussion and demonstration on bridge building and this was an excellent opportunity for students to share with him what they had already discovered for themselves about bridges from our D2P topic.
All in all a fantastic week and I hope all of Room 3 take the opportunity over the weekend to discuss some of the careers that we shared this week.

Hi Room 3! It sounds as you have had a lot of really interesting people come to talk to you about the types of jobs you can do when you get older. I wonder if you are starting to get some ideas on what you might want to do? I really enjoyed reading your blog. Your teacher has done a great job on her cluster wiki page too! ;-)
