High In The Sky

Shaking like an earthquake, I stepped into the line. Here goes nothing...”Aaaaahhhh!!!” I yelped as I was suddenly hoisted into the air. I was second in line, Astrid was finishing the second section... So it was my turn!!!! Aaaahhh!!!
I shakily stepped onto the ladder. One foot after the other, I kept telling myself. Climbing was really hard because I couldn’t stop shaking! I felt my foot slip, I wanted to scream! I wanted to yelp! I wanted to go home! Phew! Finally at the top! No wait thats a BAD thing! Aaaaahhhh!!! Help me!!! I unclipped one cow-tail and put it on the wire, same for the other side. Here goes. I stepped out onto the wire, gripping the two ropes next to me, as if I would die if I let go! I heard a few people cheering below, this encouraged me greatly. The trees whispered. I kept moving. I came the end of the first section. This is so.......AWESOME!!!!
I latched myself on to the wire. Cool! I thought as I saw the course in front of me. Three ropes were waiting, one for my harness, one to hold and of course one to walk on. I clutched the rope, grinning from ear to ear. Then I froze in my tracks. I was being told to let go of the rope! LET GO OF THE ROPE WERE THEY CRAZY?! But wait, maybe my harness would save me! So I gently slipped of the rope... This feeling, so weird
yet wonderful!! Time to get back out there don’t want to hang around for too long!
Wow! This looks fun! The course was simple(ish!) One rope for my harness, one to walk on and several dangling from the trees. I walked calmly and quickly.
I made it to the final section in no time at all! This was the FLYING FOX!! It was very, very scary! It was my turn ...... I stepped off..... WOOHOO!!!! I yelled. I was soaring, I was flying,
I was......stopping. All I can say is let’s do it again!! I had my doubts......and fears but above
all I had my fun!!!
