A Flight in Time

By Cameron

As I jumped into my harness, I watched Adiraj sprint and dive off the bank. He went straight over the stream and nearly to the tyre. While the others begun pulling him back I could see he was getting a huge wedgie. I had been waiting for ages to try the fox now finally I'm having a go.

The instructor buckled me on to the carbiner.
Josh yelled out “ Sprint your fastest!!!”.
I moved into a comfortable position and looked ahead. I began running then sprinting. Suddenly my feet lifted off solid ground like a plane taking off the runway. I was watching the calm flowing stream below when I heard shouts from behind.
“ Grab the tyre!!!”
But to me the tyre was still a reasonable distance away from me. I reached my arm out then tightened my grip on a rubber surface. Josh W-H and some of my other friends shouted.
“Yeah go Cameron!!”.
I held the tyre for at least eight seconds which felt long enough to me. I let go and began to roll backwards and slowed down to a turtle's top speed. While the others began pulling me back I started to get the worlds largest and worst wedgie. Finally I felt solid ground again. Josh ran up to me and said
“Was the wedgie a bad one?” and I just laughed.

I walked up to the instructor and said “ That was the most fun I have had in months”. The only thing that was bad was the insane wedgie you get when you're being pulled back. Other than that I can’t wait to go on that flying fox again!.
